Roy Hazen Carpenter
CARPENTER, ROY HAZEN - Hazen Carpenter of Hampton, husband of the late Flora (Hill) Carpenter, occurred September 2, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in USA, son of the late Albert and Myrtle (Vanwart) Carpenter. Hazen was a truck driver for Lanes Bakery for 20 years and a custodian at Centracare for 18 years before retiring in 1995. In the 1950's and 1960's he was a volunteer with the Saint John Fire Department Salvage Corps. Hazen enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He is survived by two sisters, Doreen Belyea (George) and Vi Marr (Clayton) of Wickham; three brothers, Murray and George Carpenter of Kars, and Raymond Carpenter (Bonnie) of Fredericton; sister-in-law, Eleanor Carpenter, Tenants Cove; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Alfred and two sisters-in-law, Barbara and Florence Carpenter.
Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton with visitation Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The funeral will be held Monday, September 5, 2011 at Reid's Funeral Home.
