Linda Riley, 65, passed away Sept. 2, 2011, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Anne (Waye) MacLean.
She is survived by her sisters, Theresa Gouthro and Joanne Nicol; brothers, Vince (Rose), Dave (Deb), John James (Val) and her extended family, Hugh Smith, Ann Francis Gardiner and her special friend, Frank Dakai.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Hugh, Crawford and Douglas; sisters, Sarah, Jean, Betty, Mary, Christina, Sharon and her best friend, Cassie, her dog, whom she loved dearly.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Sydney Mines with Fr. Thomas John officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
