Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009, Mary Joe Dunphy, formerly of Oderin, Placentia Bay, age 94. Predeceased by her husband William (1978), son Bernard (1991), parents Bernard and Clara Jarvis, sisters Lucy, Emma, Mercedes and Betty (twin). Leaving to mourn sons Alphonsus (Sarah) and Clayton (Ellen), daughter Bernadette and daughter-in-law Margie; grandchildren: Dale, Jamie, Leona, Michael, Darryl and their father Leo; Shawn; Mark, Brian and Anthony; Wayne and Marsha. 11 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild Kaylee; brother William Jarvis (Leona); sister Theresa Power (Boston), also a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends, especially the staff of 1st floor north, St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 10th, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
