Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, Joseph Hickey of Southern Harbour, aged 81 years. Predeceased by son Stephen. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Ida of 54 years; daughters: Nellie (Norman), Laura (Rick), Mary (Ches), Marg (Gary), Jenny (Con), Frances (Baxter) and Joanne (Darren); son Jamie (Nicole); sister Maggie; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Roman Catholic Church, Southern Harbour. Funeral Mass 1 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009 from Christ The King Roman Catholic Church, Southern Harbour with interment at Roman Catholic Cemetery, Southern Harbour.
