McCAUGHAN, DAVID "DAVE" M. - David "Dave" M. McCaughan, 68, of Moncton, with his loving family by his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, September 2, 2011. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Robert and Leota (Tait) McCaughan. Dave was a retired Letter Carrier with Canada Post (22 years service) and following his retirement he was a former Commissionaire and a former Courier with On Target Deliveries. He loved to fish with his good friends Moe Goguen and Don Cromwell but first and foremost he enjoyed spending time with his family. Dave will be sadly missed by daughters, Debbie McCaughan (John Hill) of Moncton and Nicole McCaughan (Marc Roy) of Grand Barachois; son, David Lunn (Theresa) of Saint John; grandchildren, Justin, Scott, Chantale, Karissa and Luc; step daughter, Nicole St-Cyr (Andy) of Sussex; step son, Richard Scott of Halifax, NS; brothers, Bill (Lynn), Burt (Chris) and Pat (Lois); sisters, Audrey Breen (Charlie) and Helen Megarity (Skip); sister in law, Peggy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Joanne Scott (June 2, 2011).
No visitation hours. Public Graveside Service to be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 2:00pm with Rev. Rufus Onyewuchi officiating.
