Passed in: Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa Katherine Fraser of Trenton at the Aberdeen Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 7, 2009.
Theresa was born in Antigonish on November 22, 1919 to Daniel and Mary Ann (MacNeil) MacGillivray. She attended Mount St. Bernard until the family moved to New Glasgow in 1929 where she completed her education. Theresa was widowed at an early age and entered the workforce outside her home. She was employed at the Cantley Residence by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hayden; Thompsons and Sutherlands; the Peter Pan and lastly at the Heather Hotel from where she retired. Her co-workers became life-long friends.
She enjoyed and was skilled at baking, which was a daily ritual. Family and friends enjoyed the fruits of her labour. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and packed love and pride of a job well done in everything she did. Her family came first. She was completely devoted to her children and always put her own needs last. She welcomed her friends and those of her children with open arms. Her home was the center of the family unit be it T.V. Bingo, just to chat to benefit from her wisdom, Sunday dinners, birthdays, holidays and the celebration of Christmas, which gave us loving memories which will last in our hearts forever. We were blessed by God to be born to this woman.
Theresa is survived by her sons: Harry and Doug, at home; Gary (Janet), Scotsburn; daughters: Patricia (Donald) Hussher, Trenton; Florence (Wilf) Rector, Fort St. John; grandchildren: Kathy (Scott) Roberts, B.C.; Karen Doyle, Trenton; Gayle Fraser, Ottawa; Linda Rector, B.C.; Diana (Bill) Everson, Ont.; Donna Richard, Cape Breton; several great grandchildren; sons and daughter in her heart: James (Beverley) Garvin, Scotsburn; Bill Davidson (Jen), New Glasgow; Heather (Brent) Steele, New Glasgow; aunt, Florence Chisholm, Pictou; numerous cousins; nieces: Carolyn White, Stellarton; Marlene (Ray) Rainier, Moncton; Margaret (Milton) Langille, Ont.; Jean (Don) Avery, Trenton; Elizabeth Fraser, Trenton; Marnie (Mark) Honiberg, Connecticut; Joan MacLeod, Westville; Dorothy (Walter) Hopkins, Halifax; nephews: Don (Heather) Brooks, Ottawa; Jim Flemming, Plymouth.
