Evelyn Jean Nickerson, 85 of Stellar St., Stellarton, passed away September 1, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Stewart) Allen.
She was a resident of Stellarton for the past 30 years where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a past member of the Knox Presbyterian Church in Blue Mountain where she was a member of the choir for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanetta (Wayne) Cameron, Riverton; Kathy Nickerson (Doug McLean), Eureka; Karen Cullen (Derek), Stellarton; Lorraine Ross (Leslie DeYoung), Riverview, NB; grandchildren: Christa, Derek, Taylor, Krystal, Matthew, Healee, Latasha, Jessy, great-grandchildren, Jayden and Evan.
She was predeceased by her first husband Levi Nickerson, second husband Donnie Ross, sisters Alice and Charlotte, brothers, Robert and Fred.
Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Charles McPherson presiding.
Burial will take place in the Blue Mountain Cemetery.
