KING, Reverend Canon Rupert– Longtime Minister for the Anglican Church in Newfoundland and Toronto. Passed away peacefully, at the Trillium Health Centre — Mississauga, on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the age of 86. Beloved husband and best friend to Grace for over 58 years. Devoted father to John (Susan) and Ruth (Eric O'Brien). Cherished grandfather to Sarah, Douglas and Daniel O'Brien and Victoria "Tori" King. Dear brother to Maxwell of Newfoundland. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Eleanor King, sister Nellie and brother Stanley (Betty). He will be greatly missed by many extended family members and friends. The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff at Wesburn Manor for their wonderful care. A memorial service will be held on Friday October 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Logy Bay Road, St. John's, N.L. Reception to follow immediately after. Inurnment to follow the reception at Topsail Anglican Cemetery.
