1925 -2009. When morning broke in Heaven on October 8, 2009, the heavenly realms were richer with Mona's arrival. Left with cherished and wonderful memories of a 62 year marriage is her caring husband, Aubrey Burt of Gambo. Loving and devoted mother to Grace, Mary, Dennis, Donna and Bonita. Adored mother-in-law to Reg Pretty, Ivy Burt, Marvin Wells and Darrell Pelley. Special grandmother to Greg (Carol), Stephen (Gale), Heather (Neil), Sarah, Stephanie (Jason), Andre and Melanie. Honoured great-grandmother to (Baby) Jane Pretty. Fondly remembered by brother Richard Burry (Jean); sisters: Eva Roberts (Nathan), Gladys Wheaton (Ross); sisters-in-law: Rose Burry, Brenda Bartlett (Ron), and brother-in-law, Herman Burt (Vina). Loved and tenderly cared for by her home care workers, Millicent Cooze and Vicky Parsons. Her family and many friends will forever cherish special memories of Mona. Predeceased by mother and father, Mary Jane and Arthur Burry, sister Rosalind Watkins, brother Douglas Burry and son-in-law Larry Profit. Visitation at Pritchett's Funeral Home, Gambo, on Saturday, October 10, from 2 - 4 p.m., 7 - 9 p.m. and Sunday, October 11, 10 a.m. - 12 noon. A service for the celebration of her life will be held at The Salvation Army Citadel on Sunday, October 11 at 2:30 pm, with Majors Darryl and Cathy Simms officiating. Interment following at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Gambo. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mona's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Society, the Alzheimer's Society, or donor's choice.
