WESTVILLE - Our hearts are saddened as we grieve the loss of our beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mary Kathleen Boudreau of Westville on Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Aberdeen Hospital.
Mom was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Born in 1929, she was the daughter of William and Catherine (Purcell) Boyce.
A lifelong resident of Westville, mom’s greatest joys in life came from her love of family and friends. She was a good listener, a teacher of life skills and an expert debater of current events. She enjoyed a game of cards, reading and crossword puzzles.
She will be sadly missed by her children Joe (Phyllis), Dover, New Hampshire, grandchildren Paul (Adrienne), Saint John, N.B. great-grandson Dylan, Angela (Toby) Hallam, Peter (Mehgan), David (Elene), New Hampshire: John (Maryann), Largo, Florida, grand-daughters Vanessa (Jack) Youssef, Fredericton, N.B., great-grandchildren Avery and Oliver: Krista (Jamie) MacIntosh, Westville, great-granddaughter Emma: Catherine (David) Fraser, MacLellan’s Brook granddaughters, Lisa (Daniel) Swain, Westville great-grandchildren, Sidney and Austin: Nicole (Jimmie) MacDonald, Antigonish: Pat (Kevin) Duggan, Westville, grandsons, Neil, Halifax, and Scott at home; Anne Marie (Tony) Pelton, New Glasgow, grandsons, Eric and Luke at home; sister-in-law, Muriel Boyce, Westville: many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alphonse Boudreau; brothers: William, Clarence, James, Raymond; sisters, Blanche and Audrey; and two daughters in infancy.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Church of The Holy Name, Westville with Father Ray Huntley officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a donations in her memory may be made to the I.W.K; the Aberdeen Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
