Lloyd Hayes
HAYES, LLOYD - Mr. Lloyd Miles Hayes of Saint John, passed away on September 9, 2011 at the age of 93. He was the son of the late Charles and Hannah (Frazee) Hayes. Lloyd spent the younger part of his life engaged in farming and working as a lumber contractor until his retirement at the age of 57; then moving on to work in construction for the Province of New Brunswick until his retirement at the age of 65. He was very active in the Head of Millstream Wesleyan Church and attended regularly. He also read his bible and prayed every morning after breakfast. He enjoyed reading and the outdoors; especially hunting and fishing. Bunty and Lloyd spent their winters in Florida and their summers in Beulah at their cottage. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Wilhelmina "Bunty"; his daughters: Karen Breau (Joseph) of Vancouver and Myrna Naile (Rev. John) of Michigan; his sons: Lloyd II (Mary), Kenneth (Linda) and Andrew (Kathy) all of Mass. USA; nine grandchildren: Elissa Soczynski and her husband Mike, Jenna Breau, Karen Elizabeth Naile, Jonathan Naile, Kyle Hayes, Lloyd Hayes III, Martin Hayes, Hannah Hayes and Kasey Hayes; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers: Les, Owen, Warren, Hilyard and Foster Hayes; his sisters: Helen, Ida, Alma, Vilis, Luella, Leah, Lena and Greta.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Monday 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm. A Celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held from Sussex Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Head of Millstream Wesleyan Cemetery.
