Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family, at the Health Sciences Centre, on Saturday, September 10, 2011, Dermot Joseph White, of St. Stephen’s, SMB, aged 81 years. Leaving to celebrate his life, his loving wife of 49 years, Geraldine (nee Fleming), his children: Daniel, Pauline (Kevin) Meehan, Gerard (Doreen), Bernie (Lisa), Juanita (Ross) Gillis, and Dermot (Christina); his four precious grandchildren: Christopher, Stacey, Victoria and Riley, his two loving sisters, Eta Molloy and Bridget Fleming, and a large extended family. The family wishes to thank Dr. Thomas McGarry for his continued care, the dialysis team at the Waterford Hospital, his caregiver Michael Fleming, the many ambulance attendants that took such good care of him and all extended family and friends for your prayers and well wishes. Resting at the Father G.W. Battcock Memorial Chapel, St Vincent’s, on Sunday, September 11, from 7 – 9pm and Monday, September 12, 2 – 4pm; 7 – 9pm (NO VISITATION ON TUESDAY). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 13, at 11am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary’s. Burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, St. Vincent’s.
