Smith, Norma Margaret, 86, Barrington, Shelburne County passed away on September 7, 2011 at the Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point. Born at Shag Harbour on April 26, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Clayton and Sadie Belle (Kendrick) Sears. Norma was an avid bingo player and enjoyed quilting, cooking and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by daughters, Pamela (Ron) Smith, Eel Brook, Karen (Paul) Thomas, Barrington, Nancy (Peter) Smith, Lake Echo; brother, Kendrick (Gloria) Sears, Smithsville; grandchildren, Jason (Trina) Thomas, Mark (Tamie) Swim, Tammy Swim- Langille (Chris), Joni Thomas; great grandchildren, Alex, Montgomery, Mackenzie. She was predeceased by her husband, Winston; brothers, Lawrence, Ronald, Leslie; sisters, Bertha Thomas, Helen Shand, Susie Hopkins, Margaret Sears. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service was held on Saturday, September 10 at the H. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, Rev. Sim Rushton officiating.
