Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on Sunday, October 11th, 2009, Mr. Douglas Hunt of Gambo in his 85th year. Predeceased by his son Bramwell, son-in-law Reginald Martin, Parents John and Abiah Hunt, five Brothers: Benjamin, Kater, Eldon, Naboth and Thomas and one sister Leah (Taite). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is wife Emma of 66 years. Children: Leah Martin, Myra (Walter) Hunt, Joan (Gordon) Jacobs, Gertie (Hubert) Fillier and Son Boyd (Jane) Hunt. Daughter in law Phyllis Hunt. 19 Grand Children and 20 Great-Grandchildren. Resting at Pritchett's Funeral Home in Gambo with visitation Tuesday 2 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Service is being held on Thursday October 15th at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel United Church in Gambo. Interment at Emmanuel United Church Cemetery in Gambo. Flowers are being accepted or donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
