(August 4, 1935 – September 10, 2011). Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, while surrounded by his family, Raymond Molloy, of St. Shott’s, aged 76 years. Predeceased by his infant son Pius, parents: Leonard Molloy, Teresa Molloy (nee Hayward) and Josephine Molloy (nee Halleran); brothers: Vince, Kevin, Luke and Wayne; sister Geraldine; sister-in-law Daphne and parents-in-law Joseph and Annie Corrigan. Left with loving memories, his wife of 52 years, Mary (nee Corrigan); children: Donna, Diane, Sean (Yvonne), Valda (Tony Power), Randy (Linda), Nancy (Leonard Bishop); grandchildren: Kelly and Christopher, Kelly (Ray), Corey (Vicki), Cassidy and Carter, Stephen and Jessica, Shane and Alice, and Lucas and Noah; great-grandchildren: Patrick, Susannah and Liam, sister Helen Detrick; brothers: Philip, Alonzo (Theresa) and Dave (Irene); sisters-in-law: Liz, Marie and Ella, brother-in-law Neil Stone; the Corrigan family: John, Helen, Tom (Sarah), Dorothy, Theresa (Derm), Bill (Edwina), Don (Bride) and Bernice (John), other relatives, friends, former co-workers and those who knew him through his volunteer activities over the years with Municipal Politics, Lions Club, Rural Development and the Irish Loop Development Association. Ray’s family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Dr. Alteen and all the staff of 3 South at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Your kindness was greatly appreciated throughout this last year. We would also like to thank the staff of 2 East/West for your care of Dad in his last few days. A special thank-you to his roommate Prosper Hodge for his kindness and patience. Mary would also like to thank all the friends and kind strangers who accompanied her on her many elevator rides and Mr. and Mrs. Fagan for their many little chats. Resting at Our Lady of Fatima Church, St. Shott’s, on Monday, September 12, from 12 - 9 p.m. and Tuesday, September 13, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 14, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Burial to follow at St. Shott’s cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
