Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Sunday, September 11, 2011, Florence Wakeham, aged 82 years. Predeceased by husband Albert, sons: John and Tom. Leaving to mourn sons: Fred (Barb), Bill and Jim; daughters: Elizabeth Rideout (Tex), Maxine Angelo (Mike); nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn Oggie and Joe; as well as her special four-legged friend Pocko. Special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit, Leonard A. Miller Centre and St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, 7 west for all their care & compassion. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday from 7-9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
