WOOD-BLEACKLEY - Adeline Gertrude (April 24, 1932 – Aug. 15, 2011) passed away at Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current after a courageous battle with cancer. She is lovingly remembered by siblings Reg Eichorst (Shirley) and Janice Lockwood (Bob) her nieces and nephews (and families), stepchildren Val McLean, Dennis Bleackley (Daneda), Trevor Bleackley (Dawn), Allen Bleackley (Deanne) and their children (and families). Adeline was predeceased by husbands Alexander (Sandy) Wood and John Bleackley, and parents Henry and Vera Eichorst. A funeral service was held Sat. Aug. 20 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with a moving eulogy given by her stepdaughter Val McLean. Internment was at Memory Gardens with Parkside Memorial Funeral home in care of arrangements. Adeline worked at a number of businesses in Swift Current over the years – many will remember her years as an assistant to dentist Doctor Oliver, and time spent at the Cooperators Insurance offices. Adeline was a beautiful person both inside and out. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered by us all. May your angels be with you Addie.
