BROCKELBANK - Mrs. Margery Brocklebank (Lowe) of High River, AB, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2009, at the age of 76 years. Marge was born May 16, 1933, at the McLatchie House in the Tuberose district. (House now in Doc’s Town). She grew up at Matador where her father was the Pool Elevator Manager. She started school 4 miles away at Leyton School. The family later moved their house to Kyle so she could complete high school. After graduating from St. Paul’s School of Nursing in 1956, she nursed in Kyle and Neilberg, SK, Surrey and Nanaimo, BC, and High River. She married Erl Brocklebank of High River in 1963. Marge was predeceased by her husband, Erl; infant son, Wyatt; and parents, William and Ella Lowe of Kyle. She is survived by her children: Joy Brocklebank (Greg Colley), Dawn (Nelson) MacIntosh and their children Nicole and Ryan, and Wyatt (Pam) Brocklebank, and their children Garret, Gavin and Sarah, all of Calgary; three brothers: Archie (Lois) Lowe, George (Marilyn) Lowe, both of Kyle, and Donald (Nancy) Lowe of Calgary; one sister, Janice (Leonard) Smid of Kyle; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Marge was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed her holidays at Clearwater Lake. A celebration of her life was held at the High River United Church, September 14, 2009.
