On September 9, 2011 a great man was suddenly taken from us. John William Russell passed away in his home at the age of 57 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. John was born December 6, 1953 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. John spent time living and working in many places where he touched the lives of many people. He spent the last few years in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan with his wife and son. He will be greatly missed and always loved by his wife of 36 years, Terry; his children Terra (Kelly), Cathy (Mark) and Calvin; his pride and joy in his life, his grandchildren Faith, Sadie, Brianna and Ryan; his father Jack and sisters and brother Deborah (Bert), Rhonda (Brad) and Gary (Terry); his many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Also all the people he met in his years as a baker, chef, paramedic, photographer and business owner. These people and experiences became life long memories and friends to John. He is predeceased by his mother Edith Russell and his "Wolf" Brandy. The funeral will be held in the Pipestone Hall, Pipestone, MB at 2:00pm Thursday September 15, 2011. Interment will follow at the Pipestone Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Research Foundation.
