VanBuskirk, Doris May (nee Maxwell)
Passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 9, 2009 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Lee Van Buskirk, sister of Betty Cruickshank (nee Maxwell) Truro, N.S.
Predeceased by Vernon, Alice (Wilson), Hazel (Peterson) and Shirley (Donner).
Loving mother of Lynne (Toronto), Carol (Ottawa) and Jim (Brampton).Doris was grandmother of five and great-grandmother of two. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Doris retained her love for Truro even after living in Ontario for nearly 60 years. She remembered old friends fondly including Hazel Torraville, Sheila Sutherland, Ethel Hill and Theda MacKenzie.
Doris will be remembered for her warm heart and generous spirit.
A small family service will be held in Meaford, Ontario, where Doris resided for the past 50 years.
