On Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, our mom, Agnes Warner, passed away peacefully at the Glace Bay General Hospital just two days before her 92nd birthday, with her loving family at her side.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Max and Rosalie Ragger of New Victoria.
Mom loved her home life, always watching her beloved Blue Jays, baking pies and brownies, doing crossword puzzles and watching her soaps. She loved her Christmas Eve family gatherings and looked forward to them every year.
She is survived by daughters, Pauline (Phillip) McLean, Rosalie (Bruce) Budden, both of Glace Bay; sons, Maynard (Jean), Cambridge, Ont., Gary (Linda), Glace Bay, Clarence, Glace Bay, Martin (Sharon), Greenwood, N.S. Agnes also leaves behind, 13 grandchildren, Pamela, Dale, Kevin, Sherry, Gary Jr., Faith, Adele, Andrew, Kelly Anne, Kelly Lynn, Christopher, Shauna, Koren and 19 great-grandchildren, Michael, Kelcey, Heidi, Rachael, Sara, Jillian, Bailey, Caeden, Kiera, Rayne, Ryan, Emma, Riley, Sarah, Crew, Luke, Julie Anne, Jakob and Emma; brother, Max; numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Nellie McLachlan.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul (1990) and sisters, Mary, Jen and Rose.
As per her wishes there will be no visitation. Family graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at 11 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
