Chief, U.S. Navy (Retired). Passed peacefully away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 12, 2011, age 80 years old. Mourning his loss is his wife of 60 years, Ann (nee Lundrigan), his children Terry (Debbie), Rick (Kay), and Kathy (Wade Kearley); his grandchildren: Laura (Leeno), Steve (Trish), Ethan, Julie and Sasha; his great-grandchildren: Luke, Addison, Annika and Fisher, and his sister Mary Ann (Ed Bober) and their large, loving family in the U.S. He was predeceased by his brothers: Michael and Thomas Gill, and his best friends and in-laws: Vincent and Mary (nee Lundrigan) Ripley. His large extended family includes the Ripley, Lundrigan, Forsey, Maher, Brown, Long, Dunlop and Clark families. A very special thank you to Dr. Sharon Ripley, his beloved niece and devoted doctor. A heartfelt thank you to Fran Dunlop (nee Lundrigan) and to Tom and Theresa Lundrigan for all of the love and support they gave their sister, Ann Gill, during this difficult time. And thank you to his nephew Father Paul Lundrigan for his timely visits. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, September 13th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, September 14th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place at Mary Queen of Peace Church on Torbay Road
