Olive Fraser

Olive Margerite Fraser, of Greenwood, formerly of MacPherson’s Mills, passed away on September 14, 2011 at the age of 91.
Born in Meiklefield on October 13, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Daniel A. and Anna (Fraser) Meikle.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Olive was an adherent of the Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn.
She was a homemaker, enjoyed her home, baking, knitting, and working in the garden. She continued to live independently in her home until April at which time she moved to Valley View Villa.
She will be deeply missed by her sons; Hugh (Carol) Fraser, Greenwood; Edward (Janet) Fraser, Thorburn; daughters Eleanor (Walter) Kirkwood, Lantz; Dianne (Terry) MacCulloch, Greenwood. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Michael (Linda) Fraser, Susan (Michael) Lank, Robert Fraser, Shan (Sandy) MacLeod, Lori (John) Taylor, Travis (Laura) Fraser, Karen (John) Campbell, Kevin (Darlene) Kirkwood, Justin (Nancy) MacCulloch, Jyl MacCulloch (Donnie) and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband James, sister Mabel, brothers: James A., John, Ernest and Edward.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn with Rev. Richard Sand officiating. Burial will be in the MacPherson’s Mills Cemetery.
