Nora Bushulak

Nora Gertrude Bushulak, 86, (formerly of Stellarton), passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Cole Harbour after a courageous three year battle with cancer.
Nora was born December 31, 1924, the youngest daughter of the late Herbert and Alice Higgins.
Nora was a kind, caring and generous person who always put her family first. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed dearly. She was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed cooking, reading and playing cards.
She is survived by daughters, Karen MacIntosh Hubley (Manny Hubley), Cole Harbour; Darlene Forsythe, Westville; son Alan (Betty MacKay), Stellarton; daughter-in-law Ruth Bushulak (Gordie Hunter), Westville; son-in-law Stanley Seymour, Bermuda; grandchildren: Michael MacIntosh, Halifax; Tanya MacIntosh, Halifax; Carla MacDonald, Stellarton; Brian Forsythe, Westville; Jason Bushulak, Springfield, Mass.; Jeff MacLaren, Stellarton; Nicholas Bushulak, BC; Christopher Bushulak, BC; Samantha Seymour, Bermuda; sister-in-law Verna Bushulak, Dartmouth; as well as seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Nora was predeceased by her husband George William; son George Herbert; daughter Margaret Anne Seymour; great-granddaughter Vicki-Lynn; brothers: James, Andrew, Thomas, and Herbert Higgins; sisters: Lydia MacQuarrie, Margaret Oldford, Mabel Oldford; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton, with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
