Theresa Loretta MacDonald, age 85, of Glen Haven Manor, formerly of Acadia Street, New Glasgow, passed away September 15, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late John Hugh and Christine (MacKinnon) MacDonald.
She was resident of New Glasgow all of her life. Theresa was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow.
She is survived by a niece Donna (Roy) Jessop, MacLellan’s Mountain; nephews, James “Jamie” (Jean) Burns, New Glasgow; David Burns, New Glasgow; brother James MacDonald, Toronto; four grand-nieces, two great-grand-nieces and one grand-nephew.
She was predeceased by sisters, Mary Burns and Anita O’Sullivan; brothers, John Hugh and Duncan; nephew Ken.
The family will receive friend’s from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, with Father Donald Boudreau presiding. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
