April 30, 1915 – September 15, 2011. Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Center at the age of 96 years. Predeceased by husband Harry (1981) and son Melvin (1968). Leaving to mourn son David (Frances) Bishop, daughter Yvonne Ivany and daughter-in-law Primrose Bishop; five grandchildren: Beverley Bishop, Kent Bishop, Linda Bishop, Lynette Ivany and Jeff (Crista) Ivany; one great-granddaughter Lilly Ivany; sister-in-law Daisy Bishop, and also her friends at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Residence. A special thank you is extended from the family to Gerald Benson, the staff at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Residence and the nurses and doctors of 4 South A at the Health Sciences Centre. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home at 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, September 16, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
