Christina Pearl Theriault, 88, formerly of East Ferry, Digby County, passed away Sept. 13, 2011. Christina was the daughter of George and Alice (MacLearn) Stanton. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, in 1977. Christina will be missed by her children, Lorna Mullen (Aiden), Eleanor Gidney (Bill), Judy Lewis, Laurana Tucker (Ray), Esther Dunn, Harold Jr. Theriault (Dianne), Becky Hall (Glen), Bruce Theriault (Carol) and Jackie French-Brown (Doug). Christina was a grandmother to 26 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Christina was a devoted mother and grandmother who was loved so much by her family. Her family was her world. Christina is survived by her siblings, Nancy, Russell, and Patricia (who was also her best friend). Christina was predeceased by siblings, Olive, Ellen, Bryce and Milton. Christina was very talented with her hands, loving to knit, crochet, sew and quilt, and also tried her hand at ceramics for a few years. She also loved her house plants, and loved to garden, walk and read. Christina was a survivor. She will be sadly missed. A private funeral service was held Sept. 17 at East Ferry Church with Pastor Mark Cress officiating. Special thanks to all the nurses and caregivers at Tideview Terrace, who went above and beyond caring for Christina and for their compassion to the family.
