We, the family of the late Donna Marie Davidson, would like to thank our relatives, friends, neighbours and co-workers for the support we received prior to and following the loss of our daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. To those who phoned, visited our homes, travelled from afar and sent food to our homes, our sincere thanks. Gratitude is extended to all those who sent mass and sympathy cards, religious enrollments, charitable donations, monetary gifts, flowers and e-mail condolences. To those who visited the funeral home and attended the funeral mass, your kind words and remembrances helped ease the pain of our loss and will never be forgotten. Sincere thanks to New Waterford Home Care, you are very special people. Special thanks to Glenn MacDonald for being there all through Donna's illness. To Dr. Bridget Lowrey, Dr. Ron MacCormick, physicians and staff of the Cape Breton Cancer Centre - thank you for the kind and compassionate care. To Father Andrew Gillies, thank you for the moving service. Thanks also to the altar servers, Adam Crosby and Raymond Young; gift bearers, Patrick Davidson (grandson) and Karyn Zamin (niece); readers Joan Tevlin (friend), Michael McIntyre (nephew) and Michael DeCoste (son-in-law); Organist and Immaculate Conception Parish Choir for Donna’s favourite hymns, Winnie and Pat Chafe for their heartfelt rendition of "Wind Beneath My Wings" and to Piper, Michael Campbell for playing at her graveside. We are also very grateful to the pallbearers; grandsons Garett and Kyle Decoste, Adam Davidson and nephews, Shaun MacIntyre, Matthew and Graham McIntyre. Thanks to the CWL for providing the tea and luncheon following the mass. Finally, our sincere thanks to Ken McGillivray and staff of the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home for your professionalism and kindness. You went beyond the call of duty! God Bless you all...
