It is with great sadness the family of the late Julia Rita Cross (nee: Farrell) announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the age of 99 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her beloved son Harold (Rona), their children: Dean (Nancy), Leanda (Chris); daughter-in-law Angela Cross, her children: Karen (Craig), June (Dion); great-grandchildren: Aimee, Cody, Tristan, Janelle. Also leaving to mourn one niece, two nephews especially Jack Gale who was like a son to her and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert; parents Elizabeth and John Farrell; son Jerome; sisters Ida, Gene; brothers: Eugene, Bill, Jackie, and Harold. The family will be receiving friends on Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in St. David’s from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon David Pearce officiating. Interment will follow in the Anglican Cemetery, St. David’s.
