Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the age of 78 surrounded by his family, wife, Shirley of 52 years, daughters, Kathy (Don) MacKay, Susan (John) Smith and son, Kevin. As well grandchildren, Matthew MacKay (Jing Shen), Adrienne and Megan Smith. Also left to mourn his sister, Zella Marche (Gordon), brothers, Garfield, David (Bridget), Stan (Bev), Dennis (Jill) and Bernie (Barb), mother-in-law, Alice Piercey, brothers-in-law, Wallace (Marg) Piercey, Reg (Marcia) Piercey, sisters-in-law, Ruby (Ted) Felix, Helen Piercey, Gloria Benoit, Betty (Hughie) Drover and Louise (Derek) Brown. Predeceased by his parents, Simon and Amelia Schumph, father-in-law, Arch Piercey, sisters-in-law, Gladys Schumph, Marie Schumph, Nettie Courage, brothers-in-law, Vince Marche, Kevin Piercey and Gordon Benoit. Visiting hours at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Friday, October 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, October 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with cremation to follow. Interment will take place at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville on Sunday, October 18th at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in memory of Adrian may be made to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation.
