Betty MacDougall
MacDOUGALL, BETTY - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Betty MacDougall devoted wife of the late Lloyd MacDougall, which occurred at Embassy Hall on September 17th, 2011. Born in Campbellton, PEI, October of 1931 she was the daughter of the late Roy and Muriel (McKay) Smith. Betty owned and operated Cardland at the Loch Lomond Mall for over 25 years retiring in 1989 she was a member a Renforth seniors and enjoyed cross stitch and crossword puzzles. Devoted wife mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend she is survived by her son Robert (Hope) of Halifax, NS; daughters Margie Rickett (Tony) of Kingston and Cindy Turner (Bud) of Saint John; brothers Vance Smith (Theresa) of Charlottetown, PEI and Bary Smith (Judy) of O’Leary, PEI; four sisters Inez Jelley of O’Leary, PEI, Glen Arbing (Jack) of Toronto, ON, Kay Johnson of Calgary, AB and Sandra Adams (Eric) of Burlington, ON; three grandchildren Brittany (Adrian), Mackenzie and Robin; two greatgrandchildren Lily and Forrest; nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents and her husband, Betty was predeceased by her brother Clair Smith.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) the family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21st from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 21 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
