It is with great sadness that the family of the late Audrey Marion Farrow age 84, of Amherst announce her passing on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Amherst, Audrey was the eldest daughter of the late Nathan and Mary (LeBlanc) Cormier.
Audrey’s family was her main focus and her world revolved around them and had a true love for children.
She was a devote Roman Catholic whose favourite day was Sunday which was important to her for church and family time.
Being the oldest, Audrey was the family matriarch, caring for many of her brothers and sisters from an early age.
She was a loving wife to her husband Fred of 61 years and together had three sons Tommie (Annie) of Athabasca, Alberta, and their children Jennifer, Courtney and Megan; Ronnie (Crystal) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and their children John, Jessica and Febra; and David (Catharine) of Sudbury, Ontario, and their son Wilson and five great grandchildren.
Audrey also is survived by one sister Eleanor (Roger) Arseneau of Truro, two brothers Lawrence (Palm) of Amherst and Gerry (Martha) of Amherst and many, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters Jean Estabrooks and Deanna MacLeod and brothers Ronnie, Raymond, Roy, Dougie, Leon and Joseph.
Audrey’s love of life and great sense of humour will be missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8 p.m. all in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906).
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery, Amherst.
Memorial donations in Audrey’s memory may be made to Victoria’s Quilts Canada, Tantramar Branch or the Canadian Cancer Society.
