MARUD (nee Uhryn) – Marie. We grieve the loss of our mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, sister and mother in law, Marie who passed away suddenly at her home in Prince Albert on October 13, 2009. Marie was born in Crystal Springs, Saskatchewan on July 4, 1940 to William and Lena (nee Kindrachuck) Uhryn. She completed her schooling at the Dixon Lake School and soon afterwards moved to Prince Albert. Marie married Edward Marud, of Prince Albert, on November 10th, 1962 and they were blessed with 3 children, Darcy, Pamela and Nicole. Marie was an avid gardener and spent much of her time tending to her flowers and her vegetable garden. She imported bulbs and seeds from all over Canada and the United States and challenged them to survive in Saskatchewan; most did. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and her happiest moments were spent in her garden in the company of her husband, children, their families and her very special neighbour and friend, Darlene Hunter. Marie will be missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Edward Marud of Prince Albert: son Darcy (Adriana) Marud of Reno, Nevada: daughters Pamela (Colin) Jellicoe of Saskatoon, SK and Nicole Marud of Prince Albert: her cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Natalie, Keegan, Riley, Megan and Brynn; sister Ann (Stan) Osolinski of Yorkton, SK; brothers Eugene (Kathy) of Toronto and Walter (Eleanor) of Drayton Valley, AB; many nieces and nephews and many caring friends and neighbours. Marie was predeceased by her father “Bill†in 1983, mother Lena in 2000, brother “Bob†in 1982 and her sister Elsie in 2004. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 581 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
