Edward 'Eddy' Stewart
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Eddy Stewart, who passed away suddenly Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, in Ontario.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late William and Bertha (Clements) Stewart of Mira Road.
Eddy is survived by his wife, Rachelle Leblanc-Stewart; children, Diane (Paul) Desroches, Kim (Troy) Hodgins, Eddy Jr. (Karen); stepchildren, Robin and Don Leblanc; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Ontario.
Eddy is survived by brothers, Blair (Susan) of Sydney, Wayne (Nancy), Halifax; sisters, Sylvia (Ted) Carroll, Halifax, Linda Gaudette, Glace Bay; sister-in-law, Liz Stewart, Ontario and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William and a sister, Edith Gaetan.
Funeral services were held in Mississauga, Ont., Sept. 15, 2011 at Turner and Porter Funeral Home, cremation followed.
