David Edwards
EDWARDS, DAVID GEORGE LAWRENCE - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of David Edwards of Saint John devoted husband for 64 years of Norma (Sewell) Edwards. David was born September of 1924 in Harlesdon, London England to the late Ernest Lawrence and Charlotte “Chrissie” (Clark) Edwards. David was WWII Veteran and served in the Royal Air Force as a Navigator Bombadier. David worked for British American Oil later known as Gulf Oil as an Internal Auditor for many years retiring in 1985. He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed Jazz music and travelling with his dear wife Norma. Besides Norma, David is survived by sister Jean Hamblin of Penn Buckinghamshire, England, three nephews and one niece from England; brother-in-law Doug Sewell (Tess) of Saint John; nephews Brian Sewell (Anne Marie) of Saint John and David Sewell (Valerie) of Tracey, and niece Dianne Simmons (Thomas) of Cold Lake, AB; several great nieces and nephews and friends. Besides his parents David was predeceased by a brother-in-law and best friend Trevor Hamblin.
By request there will be no visitation. A celebration of David’s life will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 22nd at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
