SKIDMORE, Kathleen L. “Kathy” – 60, of Halifax and formerly of Amherst, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Northwood Centre, Halifax. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Blair and Louise (Tucker) Skidmore. Kathy attended the Bridge Workshop in Amherst for many years. She won numerous medals at the Special Olympics and she loved playing crazy 8’s, dominos and scrabble. She is survived by her sister, Sharron O’Brien, Dartmouth; brothers, Darrell (Heather) and Wayne, all of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant brother, Carmen. Visitation 11-1 p.m. Thursday [September 22, 2011] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., Rev. Greg Doyle officiating.
