It is with great sadness that the family of the late Claude Lidstone Martin, age 88, announce his passing at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, N.L. on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Predeceased by parents — Patrick and Catherine Martin; sister — Josephine Campbell. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife — Ethel Martin; sons: Patrick Martin (Marlene), St. John’s, N.L., and Michael Martin (Kathryn), Morden, Man; grandchildren — Connor; Matthew and Nicholas; nieces — Debbie Connor, Margaret Topping, and Sharon Campbell-Macsween; nine brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitations to take place from St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in La Scie on Friday, October 16 from 1 to 9 p.m. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral mass to take place from St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, La Scie on Saturday, October 17, 2009.
