Thomas "Junior"  Davis

Thomas "Junior" Davis,65, of Alton, NS, passed away peacefully on September 19th, 2011 at the Colchester Regional Hospital in Truro, Nova Scotia after a lengthy illness.
Junior was born in Hopewell Hill, NB on Dec 26, 1945 the son of the late Thomas and Katie (Tucker) Davis. He was a jack of all trades and had numerous jobs throughout his life, having worked in the woods, postal service in Moncton, and in the Mines in BC. He attended the Hopewell Hill Baptist Church as a boy and always went there when he was visiting his family in the area. He loved his family very much and was very proud of all his children and their families. He had a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were his world. He may have had a rough exterior at times but his bark was always bigger than his bite. He will be truly missed by his family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and for his teasing. Lets all think of the good times we shared.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Connie (Card) Davis; daughter, Tracy Davis of Truro; sons, Phillip Davis (Linda) of Moncton, Terry Davis (Krista) of Halifax and Tim Davis (Michelle) of Truro; his cherished 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; four sisters, Sheila Claridge (Albert) of Waterside, Brenda Lyman (Leland) of West River, Linda Upham (Fraser) of Hopewell Hill and Judy Best (Charles) of Weldon; three brothers, Ernest Davis (Gloria) of Pine Glen, Dean Davis of Vancouver and Paul Davis (Peggy) of Shepody; brothers-in-law, Michael Steeves of Lower Cape and Meldon DeWolfe of West River. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and by his faithful companions, Buddy and Tinker.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by three sisters, Edna Davis, Carol Steeves and Phyllis DeWolfe.
Honoring Junior's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at the Hopewell Cemetery in Hopewell Hill, NB on Friday, September 23rd, 2011 at 1:00pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating. Following the service everyone is invited to join the family at the Canadian Mental Health Association Building in Hopewell Hill for further sharing of memories and for refreshments.
Donations to the family or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
