Cornell “Smitty” Smytaniuk
Our beloved Smitty passed away peacefully Wednesday October 14th at home following a long, brave battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife Doris; his children Katherine (Russ), Karen (Jason) and Todd (Dawn) and granddaughter Harper Rose; his step-children Mike (Gail), Doug (Rina), David (Elizabeth), Darryl (Deanne), Kari (Gerry) and all their children; his sister-in-law Marlene and his nieces and nephew Pat (Ed), Bev (Peter), Linda (Richard), Robert, Donna (Lyn) and many great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents John and Sally (Pacholski) Smytaniuk; his first wife Rosalind (Sutton) and his brother Bill. It is Smitty's request that there be no funeral. A graveside service will be held at a later date. To celebrate Smitty's life, a come and go will be held this Sunday, October 18, 2009 between 1:00 and 4:00 pm at 53 - 19th Street West.
