William (Bill) King
It is with sadness that the family of the late William (Bill) Marshall King age 62 of Tidnish announce his passing on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Edward and Mildred (Marshall) King.
Bill was a carpenter by trade and worked for many local contractors.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting , gardening and spending time at his camp.
Bill is survived by his two sons Jason (Mylinda) and Jeff both of Tidnish and their mother Betty King of Amherst, also three grandchildren Bradley, Jenna and Lauryn.
He is also survived by two sisters Joan Hape of Fort Lawrence and Margaret Fillmore of Scarborough, ON and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by a brother Robert (Bob) and sister in law Gloria King.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906).
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 1 p.m. in Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating.
Interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery, Tidnish Bridge.
Memorial donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Childhood Cancer or the charity of your choice.
