James Morris Hoskins, born January 25, 1931 in Viking, Alberta, passed away June 22, 2011 at Bastion Place, Salmon Arm, BC at 80 years. He was the 6th of 10 children.

He is survived by his children; son Rodney Hoskins, daughter Shelley Wick and step-daughter Deborah Bird, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren, brothers Gary and Warren Hoskins, sister Amy Marshall, numerous nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was predeceased by his son Thomas and more recently, his wife Jeanette.

Jim & Jeanette had their 40th Anniversary on October 24, 2010; however they were both too ill to share this special occasion together.

Jim spent most of his life working for Heat & Frost Insulators & Asbestos Workers, having received his 50 year pin a couple of years ago. His job took him to lots of locations around the world to work, where sometimes he had to move for months or years in some cases. His last overseas job was Jakarta, Indonesia for several months.

Jim belonged to Kamloops F.O. Eagles #3453 for a number of years, until his health started to decline and he chose to drop his membership.

Jim was a big kid at heart, always stealing your fritters or candy when you were not looking.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Shore Community Centre, 730 Cottonwood, Kamloops, in the Willow Room. Please bring your stories, we would love to share them.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jim's name may be made to the SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society.

"Now you can celebrate that 40th anniversary together wherever you two plan to go"
