WILBUR, RUBY E. - Ruby E. Wilbur, 87, of Moncton, with her loving family by her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday September 21, 2011. Born in Stilesville, she was the daughter of the late Tyler and Iva (Steeves) Stiles. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Moncton First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed sewing, fishing, socializing in her church circle and spending precious time with her family and friends. Ruby will be sadly missed by her seven children, Trena (Ken) Boyle of London, ON, Lynn (Pat) Wilbur of Moncton, Ken (Donna) Wilbur of Moncton, Linda Bourque of Moncton, Jim (Paulette) Wilbur of Indian Mountain, Ruth (Gord) Wilbur of Moncton, Kristy (Rich) Wilbur of Mississauga, ON; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; sister, Freda Vaughn of California; brothers, Bob (Pixie) Stiles and Walter (Rose) Stiles both of Ontario; many nieces and nephews. She also left behind a very close and precious circle of friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Willard "Bill" Wilbur (1996) after 54 years of marriage and by her daughter, Lois at ten months (1945) and brothers, Arnold, Rex, John and Neil.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road Moncton (858-1995), Saturday from 4 to 7pm. Funeral Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday September 25, 2011 at 1:30pm with Rev. Patti Rossiter officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
