The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, of Wesley Moyse Heffel of Summerside, aged 67 years. Born in Freetown, he was the son of the late John A. and Elva (Reeves) Heffel. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Eileen (Crozier) Heffel, son, Trevor Heffel (Angela Strickland), daughter, Krista (Stephen) Stuart, his four cherished granddaughters, Felicia and Stephanie Stuart, Leah and Tamara Heffel, all of Summerside, brothers and sisters, Agnes Hardy, Burlington, Hazel (Vernon) Stetson, Freetown, Linus (Fern) Heffell, Linkletter, Waldron (Joyce) Heffel, Freetown, Mary (Eric) Day, Sooke, B.C., brothers- and sisters-in-law, Doreen (Andy) MacLean, Kensington, Joyce Best, Kensington, Norma (Lyman) Huestis, Wilmot Valley, Alan (Mary Lou) Crozier, Reads Corner, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Myrna Clarke, and his brothers-in-law, Ralph Hardy and Ray Best. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to Central Street Christian Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
