BOONE, James Dexter– Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Center on Thursday, October 15, 2009, Jim Boone, age 50 years of Paradise. Predeceased by his father-in-law John Power, brother-in-law Keith Martin, niece Sarah Martin and cousins Gary and Duane Brazil and Donna Best. Leaving to mourn with beautiful loving memories are his wife Carol (nee Power); sons Jeremy (Alexis) of Waterloo, Ontario and Alex at home; mother Shirley Boone of Paradise and father Dexter Boone at St. Pat’s Mercy Home; sister Marilyn Boone (Bruce Tilley) of St. John’s; brothers: Brian (Marilyn Masiker) of Toronto and Greg of Toronto; mother-in-law Lucy Power of Mt. Pearl; sisters-in-law: Betty Martin of St. John’s and Linda Ford of Ottawa. Also leaving a large circle of family and friends. Jim loved the ocean, sailing, scuba diving, being out on the water in rough weather and especially his family. At Jim’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors and friends at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 12 noon to 8 p.m. An informal gathering will be held at Caul's Chapel at 8 p.m. on Saturday to celebrate Jim’s life.
