BURSEY, Phyllis Ruth– Passed peacefully away on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Health Sciences Centre following a brief illness, Phyllis Bursey, formerly of Bell Island, in her 84th year. Predeceased by husband Melvin (2004). Leaving to mourn her daughter Glenda; darling grandson Jason Rollings (Sonya); great-granddaughter Emily; three sisters-in-law Rita Bursey of St. John’s, Marge Martin of BC and Peg Bursey of Gander; special friend Marian Squires. Thank you to the paramedics, doctors and nurses of Eastern Health. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl, on Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service from Barrett’s Chapel on Tuesday, October 20 at 11:00 a.m. Internment to follow at United Church Cemetery, Bell Island.
