ALLAIN, GÉRARD - 1931 - 2011- Gérard Allain, 80, of Villa Providence Inc, Shediac and formerly of Sainte-Anne de Kent where he lived for numerous years and before that of Bouctouche Cove passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Villa Providence, Shédiac on Thursday, September 22nd, 2011. Born in Bouctouche on April 22, 1931 he was the son of the late Gilbert and the late Mélina (Richard) Allain. Gérard always had a great passion for his horses. He will be sadly missed by his two sisters and one brother; Emerise, Lina and Lionel of Bouctouche. He also leaves to mourn a long time friend Lorraine Cormier of Saint-Maurice de Kent, two sisters-in-law, Marie Allain of Saint-Joseph de Kent and Germaine Allain of Dieppe, and a last living aunt Lorraine Allain of Bouctouche, and several nephews and nieces, and cousins. His friends and neighbors, the family of Marc Hébert of Sainte-Anne de Kent will also miss him profoundly. Gérard was predeceased by four brothers; Aurèle (1976), Léonard (1998), Calixte (2002), and Joseph in infancy, and two sisters; Alice (2001) and Alma (2005) and one sister-in-law Aldéa Allain (1976).
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Monday, September 26th, 2011 from 1:30 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Monday September 26th, 2011 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery. In Gerard's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
