NOËL, LAURIE - 1922 - 2011 - Laurie Noël, 89 of Cocagne passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital University Center, Moncton on Saturday, September 24th, 2011. He was married to the late Julie (Gallant) Noël (1992). Born in Moncton on July 6, 1922, he was the son of the late Grégoire and the late Évangeline (Gauvin) Noël. He will be sadly missed by his two sons; Ronald (Joyce) and Raymond (Maria) of Cocagne, his nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn one sister Vicky Allain (Albert) of Cocagne, and five brothers; Johnny, Antoine (Auréa), Arthur (Marie) and Guillaume of Cocagne, and Léandre (Dorice) of Scoudouc and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one daughter Diane (1999), one sister, Irène and one brother Azore.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Tuesday, September 27th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cocagne Church on Tuesday, September 27th, 2011 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery. In Laurie’s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
