It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Wilfred Walsh on Sept. 23, 2011.
A retired coal miner, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Geraldine (Downy) Walsh.
Wilfred is survived by his son, Alexander (Sandy); sisters, Mary (George) Cecchetto, Sylvia (Dave) Jeffrie and Stephanie Walsh, all of New Waterford; brothers, David (Yvonne), Bernie, both of New Waterford, and Kenny (Ingrid), Ontario.
Besides his parents, Wilfred was also predeceased by his brother, Michael.
Cremation has taken place and a service to celebrate Wilfred’s life will be held in the chapel at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Leo Penny officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Parish of Saint Leonard’s Hall, Convent Street.
