We regret to announce the peaceful passing of Ivy Lorraine Baird, age 72 years, from Hodges Cove, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on September 20, 2011. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Maria Lambert and 10 brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn with many precious and loving memories are her husband, Douglas; children, Audrey Baird (Jerome Tobin), George, Donna Whalen (Rick), Doug Jr. (Jennifer), and Sharlene; grandchildren, Matthew, Troy, Mackenzie, Daniel and Sophie; sisters, Violetta Avery (Allen- deceased), Annie Avery (Russell), Joyce Bursey (Gordon); brothers, Albert Lambert (Marie), Clayton Lambert (Fannie), George Lambert (Alma) and many other relatives and friends. Rested at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Hodges Cove from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jessie Broaders, assisted by Rev. Mercer, took place on September 22, 2011 with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.
