Peacefully at the Garden Home on Saturday, September 24, 2011, of Verlie Emma Compton, Stratford (Southport), age 96 years.
Dear mother of Charles (Mildred), Clarice Ellis, Velda Ward, Lem (Nicky), Damon (Rose McKenna) and daughter-in-law Helen. Lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Nan Mills and Sarah (Sally) Singleton. Predeceased by her husband Alexander, her parents William and Josephine (Montgomery) MacMillan, son Bill, daughter Donna (Joseph Testini), son-in-law Doug Ellis, grandson Bryan Ward, three sisters and one brother.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Wednesday from Trinity United Church at 11 a.m. Interment in St. John’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Belfast.
